So this happened a few days ago and it's just an easy story to relay here.

One of my friends and I got together a few days ago to work on a project. I'm a journalist. He's my photographer. We were working on putting together a story about a horrible place to live. The building is basically a neglected shithole. We were working in one of the residents' apartment. One of the security guards saw us around the building and started asking us who we were and why we were there. We told him we were the resident's cousin and friend, and that we were staying there a few days. He was too nosy for my taste, but he went on his way. The resident warned us that he can be extremely nosy and creepy. Definitely someone to keep an eye out for.

He wasn't the only one. There were two other men who kept loitering in our general area while we were there. One of them kept eyeing me, but the other would harass me. He was handsy. Kept trying to get his hand on my ass, my chest, my waist, etc. Made me extremely uncomfortable, as I'm sure you can imagine. I stood my ground and told him off. I made it very clear I was not comfortable with his hands on me, and asked him to back off.

He backed off. But only temporarily. My friend, who is gay, noticed this man was handsy with me. He took an interest in him, and the guy started hitting on my friend. My friend used this as an opportunity to get the guy to leave us alone. The guy would hit on my friend, and then my friend would joke around and say "I could never date someone who would harass women. That's disrespectful as fuck." Then, the creep would walk away. The next time he would see my friend, he'd come on to him again. My friend would again tell him he was not interested in someone who would act like that. The next time the guy saw my friend, same thing. Hit on him. So, my friend did the same thing again. The guy backed off again.

At this point, I am extremely fucking annoyed. I don't want this creep anywhere near me or my friend. This is when the handsy guy's friend starts getting involved. His friend is a bit more subtle, but sends glances my way on occasion. I make eye contact, and then he looks away.

All four of these men are in the general area I'm in. I tell my friend, "I think it's time we leave." We pack up our stuff, and then the cop out of my car comes.

I pretend to answer a phone call (there is no one on the other side), and say "Hello?" Then, pretend to listen. Then, say "yeah, I'm up here working on a story." Then, listen. Then, say "no, the address is [insert address, which I won't give you to protect my identity]." Then, listen. Finally, say "yup, you guys can come on up."

The handsy guy and his buddy scatter. The creepy security guard scurries away. The other creep also scurries away. Seriously, these four men literally scurry away like beetles. Like a bunch of roaches. My friend laughs and says "lol that was classy." I laughed too. Then, we got out of there.

These guys: you better not ever approach me again. I do not want to see your faces around me. You better leave me alone going forward. Or else, this won't end well for you.

You guys are people I would absolutely love to never meet, and I sincerely hope our paths do not cross again.

Edit: Wow, this blew up. I'm glad people have enjoyed this story. Thank you for the awards. I'm glad you all enjoyed it.
