My 7 year old cousin accused me of spying on her while she showered and now my family thinks I’m a creep.

It was my birthday a few days ago and I was blessed by my cousin and his wonderful children. I bought a 30ft water gun and a bubble machine. My cousin’s (5 year old) twins the brother and sister loved it, they had a great time. A few hours later I needed to use the restroom but didn’t want to get my clothes wet as my cousin and his children were still having a great time and I didn’t want to miss out so I decided to use the one connected to my cousin’s daughter’s (7 years old) bedroom as it was closer.<br><br>The door to the main bathroom is connected to my cousin’s daughter’s room in a weird way. The door is in the bathroom and when you open the door it connects to my cousin’s daughter’s room and if you close it, it takes you back to the main bathroom. When I opened the door connected to my cousin’s daughter’s room I didn’t realize she was taking a shower. What I saw was her stepping out of the shower, she quickly covered and asked if I was spying on her, I quickly apologized and got out of there. (I was in the room for 4 seconds tops) I told her I didn’t mean to intrude and I didn’t see her, but she didn’t seem to care that I was only there for 4 seconds, she told my whole family and now everyone is angry. My cousin and his wife told me to get out and never come back. All of my family is angry and thinks I’m a creep for spying on a child who is underaged. I feel so annoyed and angry by it, I feel everyone’s jumping to conclusions and spreading this stupid lie.<br><br>Edit: I’m not from the US but from Asia. This is my first post ever.
