The difference between "curvy women" and "plus size" women

I think there's a lot of confusion about women's clothing sizes and how clothing brands label women of different sizes. I think the confusion comes from the fact that different clothing sizes can look very different between brands.

"Curve" as opposed to "plus size" are terms used to describe women with female proportions, but with a larger hip to waist ratio, usually with a size 12 or below. Fashion brands usually use the term "curve" to describe women with a larger cup size, but a more proportional body.

"Plus size," which can be used interchangeably with the term "extended size", refers to a wider range of sizes which can vary between brands. Extended sizes tend to be 14 and above, but can be 12 and above depending on the brand.

I think it's just clothing brands using different terms to sell clothes to women, to be honest, but I don't think it hurts to understand women's fashion as both terms are used by fashion brands.

"Petite" and "tall" sizes also matter, which can affect female proportions when choosing clothes.

I hope this clears up any confusion because it's not entirely the same.
