Why I think violent revolution is the only answer

I've been using this site for years, all the feminist subs, all the radfem subs. I've dealt with uncountable amounts of misogyny, I've been harassed and assaulted, I've been homeless, I've been unable to get help, and over the years, I've come to a realization.

There is no other answer. We have been trying to change the system for decades. We have been trying to change the system peacefully my entire life at least, and probably your entire life too, if you're under 30. And what has it given us? It has given us nothing. Women are just as trapped in this system today as they were when I was a child.

I'm sure you remember the Women's Marches on DC that happened when Trump became president. I went to one. It was a joke. A huge waste of time. There was no violence. There was no real call to action. They were a parade that went nowhere. I was so angry the day after.

What did it give us? It gave us nothing. What did any of the marches give us? Has anything changed? Has anything gotten better? No.

What about the Me Too movement? What did that give us? It gave us a bunch of realizations that people already knew. Everyone knows that Hollywood is run by pedophilic misogynists. Everyone knows that politicians are the same. What did it give us? It gave us nothing but a few small convictions. It proved what we already knew: the legal system is a total joke when it comes to violence against women.

What about when women run for office? What has that given us? It has given us absolutely nothing. We put a record number of women in Congress two years ago and what has changed? What has happened? Absolutely nothing. What did Elizabeth Warren do? She was a total joke. What did Hillary Clinton do? She was a total joke. What did Kamala Harris do? She was a total joke.

What about the riots? What did they give us? They gave us a tiny bit of media attention for women's issues. They gave us a tiny bit of legal change. They gave us a tiny bit more visibility for women. But they didn't give us anything close to what we really need: total revolution.

And what we really need, is for the entire patriarchy to be torn down. We need a new system. All of society needs to be torn to the ground and rebuilt in a fairer way.

There are so many issues. I can't even begin to name them all. Misogynistic violence is at an all-time high. Women are being erased from public spaces. Women are being erased from the media. Women are being harassed and assaulted and raped and murdered at extremely high rates. Women are being forced into prostitution. Women are being forced into surrogacy. Women are being raped by their partners. Women are being beaten by their partners. Women are being abused. Women are being harassed. Women are being harassed by the police. Women are being beaten by the police. Women are being raped by the police. Women are being killed by the police.

I am so sick of this. I am so sick of all of this. I wish I could just burn it all down. I wish I could just burn the entire country down and rebuild it.

I know that I am a radical feminist. I know that I am a minority within feminism. I know that my views are not accepted by the general public. I know that they are not even accepted by most feminists. I know that. But I also know that I am right. I know that I am right and that people who disagree with me are wrong.

We need total revolution.

That is the only answer.

Edit: I am so grateful for the support and love I have received. I never expected this post to be seen by so many people. Thank you to everyone who has commented and upvoted and messaged me their support. Thank you so much.
