Was the Capitol riot a mass-encouraged false flag?

New to this sub, but I think it’s time to put it out there. I never trusted the Trump administration and it wasn’t until the capitol riot when I realized that this could be an event that was collaborated through manipulations of the population and the mass media.<br><br>To set this scenario up first you would have to travel back to 2016, with the mass media taking the bold move of sending a bold message to the people of the United States: there are only two forms of politics. What can’t happen under this administration will happen under this one. By doing this it only created more people out of touch with reality. Trump was one of the only presidential candidats to have ever run under the republican ticket and lose the popular vote. However, the mass media took the bold move of taking all attention away from the independent political candidates, granting him the seat.<br><br>I think it’s safe to say that Trump’s bold statements such as “drain the swamp” and “make America great again” was a message to the American people that he was for the people, and not another corrupted candidate. He took office and it only took a few years for the mass media to continue promoting a message of division and hate. By creating an environment where the population took these messages to heart, and the government could continue shaping their “swamp” with no opposition from the people. Even when Trump acted on something that continued the same agenda that the US government has been promoting for decades, the mass media would only make arguments about whether or not the action was constitutional or not.<br><br>Enough backstory, Trump decides to hold a rally at down the street from the capitol and with all the encouragement from Trump supporters and Republican politicians, some protesters decide to storm the capitol. This event certainly made it seem like there was an open civil war in the US. This is the part where I don’t understand. The mass media ran with the story for weeks, and it only fueled more hate from both sides. Why would the media do this? I think the event was the perfect opportunity for the government to send the message that we need to take more actions to ensure the security of the government. At the end of the day, the government has only made more rules to safely put their hands around the neck of the people. <br><br>Was the Capitol riot a bold move to further ensure the government’s power over the population, or was it truly a reaction from the population?
