What do you talk about when you have “the talk”?

Sorry if this topic has been brought up already. When I was in my early teens, my mom gave me “the talk” and basically told me that women are “most beautiful” when we shave our pussies and wax all our body hair off. She and my aunt were acting like they got their darn waxed for free, so I was excited to try. Starting in middle school, I would get my blonde pubic hair waxed and get all the rest of my body hair waxed. I always thought that my mom was right, that darn that is well-groomed and smooth is more attractive. Not to mention, I used to have pretty frizzy, curly hair that I hated so I would get it straightened most of the time. Long story short, I now have really short, fuzz-like hair (excess wax, dead hair, and frizz pretty much) and my vulva and butt are really scarred up from waxing for years. I’m not sure if I could go back to my natural blonde hair or pubic hair or if it will be damaged for the rest of my life. Currently I have really short darn that is colored and no waxing or shaving on my body now.

I’m scared to have a daughter and give her “the talk” because I’m not sure how to advise her or I would be giving her the wrong information like my mom did.
