It's essentially a weight loss app. You tell it your goals and the app gives you your daily calorie needs to reach that goal.

A virtual fridge is where you add everything you have in your fridge to the app. This means it can easily tell you how many calories are in different combinations of food that you have on hand. You could look at Eat This Not That type combinations that are actually made with foods that you have in your fridge.

It would have 3 functions on the home screen.

1.Find a meal - the app tells you the top 10 healthiest meal options given what you have in your fridge and how many calories you need for the day. It tells you exactly how to make it and how long it will take. You can exclude certain foods you are allergic to or dislike.

2.Add to fridge - this allows you to add new food to your virtual fridge. If you buy a whole chicken the app tells you how to portion it out into separate pounds or cups.

3. Virtual Pantry - this is where you save all of your favorite meals in order to make grocery lists. If you like a certain dish made with chicken, black beans and rice, and you want to eat it 3 times per week. The app tells you how much you need to buy of each ingredient in order to eat it that many times per week.

It should also track the expiration dates so you can eat foods before they expire.

It also should track dietary needs. For example if you eat 1 cup of black beans and 2 cups of rice it should tell you how many calories each meal is and how many calories you have left for the day. So if your daily calorie needs are 1,500 calories, you eat the chicken, beans and rice for lunch. The app tells you exactly how much chicken, beans and rice to eat to stay under 1,500 calories for the day. You could also add Eat This Not That type combinations to your virtual pantry as well.

When you go shopping you can limit search results to only foods you need to restock your virtual pantry.

Example:

Week one of your diet you learn to make chicken, beans and rice for 1,500 calories per meal. By week two you learn to make grilled cheese for 1,500 calories per meal. By week three you learn to make chicken stir fry for 1,500 calories per meal. So at the end of week three you can choose between 3 healthy meals made with ingredients you already have in your fridge. By the end of the month you should have 30 healthy meals that you know how to make.

This would be a very useful tool for me. It would help me stay healthy and organized. I would use it to stay thin or get thin. I would use it to stay organized by keeping track of expiration dates on perishables. I would use it to learn how to make new dishes. I would use it to make grocery lists. I would use it learn healthy substitutions for unhealthy foods.

I would limit ads to only foods you need to restock your virtual pantry.
