My girlfriend asked me to get the Sat Nav to say her name instead of saying "in 0.2 miles turn left" I thought this was a new thing but apparently it's been around for ages

I thought this was a bloody genius hack, so I thought I'd share. She's called Alice, by the way, for reference.<br><br>I couldn't find this on the Orange website, I had to call them and the woman said it was an old feature from the iPhone 3 or something lol<br><br>First you get the voice assistant up and hold it<br><br>Then you say "I've got a passenger and her name is Alice" <br><br>And then it says "I've recorded Alice" <br><br>So now it says things like "Alice, in 0.2 miles, turn left" "Alice, take a right in 1 mile" "Alice, roundabout in half a mile, take exit 3" <br><br>I think this is a top feature, especially if you're on a road trip (with Alice, obvs) and don't know the route.<br><br>Now I'm not sure if this is an iPhone or a Maps thing but I've got an iPhone 14 Pro Max and it works perfectly<br><br>EDIT: this post is spiking so much thank you all for upvoting and loving - it's not my idea though, I had to get it from customer services so I'm just sharing it
