PSA to all men: if you think your pet causes more damage to your home than a toddler, you are not ready for children

This is something that I’m actually surprised not more parents talk about. I don’t know if it just doesn’t come up, but holy balls, having an infant/toddler is WORSE than having pets. My husband and I have three dogs, and our 3 month old has already destroyed way more than they ever have. And if you allow your pets to destroy your house, maybe think about training them before bringing a kid into the picture. I’m not talking about getting a nice couch, I’m talking about basic stuff like your distant aunt coming over without immediately making a mess. If you can’t train your pet to not do this, how do you plan on training your kid? I’m not trying to shame anyone, I just genuinely don’t understand people that are so lazy they allow their pets to do whatever they want. And if you are ready to have kids, then great, you’ve probably already figured this stuff out. But I just wanted to put this out there, and I will admit I’m biased, since I absolutely love kids.
