It's coming on a year since the divorce and I'm still angry.

I was married for a little over 10 years, and once we had kids, my ex-wife just became lazier and lazier.

We had an agreement when we got married that we would both work 50/50 on bills and the mortgage.

After the kids she decided she didn't want to work anymore and that I'd have to do all the finances. I asked her what about the housework and she said she'll do it.

Well, she didn't. I came home from work every day to a dirty house, laundry not done, kids bathed, etc.

I did my best to do it all and she did NOTHING. I also had a side job to fill in for her lack of a paycheck, and still she refused to do anything.

Last straw was when I came home from work and found all three of them in pajamas. Kids weren't bathed, they were fussy and I just lost it. I broke down, I cried, I screamed.

I finally had enough. I told her I'm done. I'm done with everything.

She said, "but what about us?"

I said, "You never did anything for us. I did it all."

But she still kept asking what am I going to do about us?

I looked at her and said, "I'm going to divorce you."

She screeched and cried when I told her that. I took the kids, moved into a new house and filed for immediate divorce.

I've had zero contact with her since, and the kids don't miss her. In fact, they are upset that I didn't do it sooner.

My new gf and I are planning on moving in together and she's really helped out a lot to make sure my kids are happy.

I've never been happier.
