So I’m at the gas station just now and see a guy about to pump gas. He drives up in a beat up old van. While he’s walking into the store to pay, a homeless woman comes up to his car and starts rinsing it off with the water hose for tips. Like let’s keep in mind that this isn’t a car wash, it’s just a regular old gas station.<br><br>In the meantime, a black guy Walks up and starts asking for tips to get a cup of coffee. While he’s doing all this, a Hispanic looking man with a trash bag full of empty bottles is going around the gas station asking everybody for tips for the bottles he’s about to recycle. But then it got even weirder. A very pregnant white lady pulls up to the gas station and then she gets out of her car and starts asking for tips to get gas. Now, let me tell you I’ve been around the block a few times. I’ve seen some weird stuff in my time. But seeing a homeless woman wash off a guy’s car for tips at a gas station, a black guy panhandle for coffee, a Hispanic guy go around asking for tips to recycle a bag full of empty bottles, and then a white pregnant lady ask for tips for gas at the very same time is about the weirdest damn thing I’ve ever seen.<br><br>And let’s be real. If any normal person who graduated from college with a regular job saw this scene play out in real life, they would tell you that America is officially a 3rd world country. They would tell you that America is just about dead. And if we’re all being honest with ourselves deep down, we would probably agree with them.<br><br>Speaking of which, I have a regular job. I work construction. But today, I didn’t go to work. Today I stayed home from work because I’m sick. And while I was in my room coughing up a lung, it hit me. “I’m sick. Why the fuck am I sick? I have health insurance. My insurance is supposed to keep me from getting sick. It costs me nearly $1,000 a month for a reason, right? Because it’s supposed to cover my healthcare costs and keep me from getting sick. But I’m sick. So what the fuck did I just pay $1,000 for if I’m still sick? Health insurance is fucking bullshit. It doesn’t keep you from getting sick. It doesn’t make you healthier. It doesn’t even keep you from going bankrupt if you get sick. It just lines the pockets of health insurance CEOs and shareholders. And I hate to tell you folks, but if you don’t already know this, then you’re dumber than a box of rocks. And if you’re still defending the healthcare system in the US, then there is something seriously wrong with you. Walk outside your door and look around. Do you see what I see? Homeless people everywhere. People dying from drug overdoses. People begging on the streets. While CEOs from healthcare companies are getting paid millions of dollars in compensation. While shareholders are making millions of dollars in profits. All while the average American can barely afford to pay rent. All while the average American is just one sickness or injury away from bankruptcy. And you’re still defending this system? You people are fucking idiots. <br><br>And I would also like to add that the average American pays far more in taxes relative to their income than the ultra wealthy do. Hell, billionaires like Jeff Bezos pay less than 1% of their income in taxes. So after we give up half our income to taxes and healthcare, While these billionaires pay less than 1% in taxes, then you still defend the economic system in the US? Are you fucking kidding me? So after we give up half our income in taxes and healthcare, we won’t even get healthcare. So with what’s left, after we give up half of that to the shareholders, we will get paid the minimum amount of money necessary to keep us from starving to death. All while these billionaires get richer than ever. And you still defend this system? While you yourself are living paycheck to paycheck? All while you yourself are just one sickness or injury away from bankruptcy? While you yourself can barely afford to pay rent? Are you fucking insane? Are you that stupid? Do you know how much money the US government gave Amazon in subsidies after they paid less than 1% in taxes? Do you know how much money the US government gave to oil companies in subsidies after they posted record profits? Do you know how many trillions of dollars the US government spent on war over the last 20 years? Do you know how much money the US government is spending on the war in Ukraine? Do you know how much money the US government is spending on police and prisons and the military? Do you know how many trillions of dollars the US government spent bailing out the banks? Do you know how many trillions of dollars the US government spends on healthcare? Do you know how much money healthcare CEOs and shareholders make in compensation and profits? Do you know how much money the US government spent on social welfare programs? Now after you find out all these answers, do you still think the US is not a 3rd world country? Do you still think that the billionaires should get richer and the poor should get poorer? Do you still think the war on drugs should continue? Do you still think the US should spend trillions of dollars on war and police and prisons? While Americans are homeless? While Americans are sick? While Americans are starving? Do you still think billionaires should get paid millions of dollars? All while you yourself are living paycheck to paycheck? While you yourself are barely getting by? While you yourself are just one sickness or injury away from bankruptcy? Do you still think that the ultra wealthy are job creators? If they’re job creators, where’s your good paying job? Hell, where’s your bad paying job? The only fucking jobs they’re creating are low wage jobs with no benefits. If you’re working, should you not be able to afford the basic necessities of life? A roof over your head, a full stomach, and good healthcare? If the ultra wealthy are job creators, then where’s your good paying job? Where’s your healthcare? Where’s your fucking money? If the ultra wealthy are job creators, then they should be paying you enough to afford the basic necessities of life. They’re not paying you enough. They’re not giving you benefits. They’re treating you like shit. But you know what? Fuck it. I don’t care if you want to keep worshipping and defending the ultra wealthy, while they treat you like shit and pay you minimum wage. See if I care. But just don’t come crying to me when you lose your job. Don’t come crying to me when you’re sick and can’t afford healthcare. Don’t come crying to me when you lose your house. Don’t come crying to me when you’re starving and can barely afford to pay rent. You should have thought about all this bullshit a long time ago. You should have thought about it before you voted for Trump and Biden and all the other puppets. Because now it’s too late. The ultra wealthy have brainwashed you to turn on each other instead of turning on them. The ultra wealthy have brainwashed you to think you’re fucking middle class when you’re really just one sickness or injury away from bankruptcy. The ultra wealthy have brainwashed you to think the US is the greatest country on Earth. While people are homeless, While people are sick, While people are starving, While police are shooting innocent people dead in the streets. Are you fucking kidding me? You call this the greatest country on Earth? Hell, I don’t even call it a 2nd world country at this point. With all its problems, the US is now officially a 3rd world country.
