Protest against the proposed India-Pakistan Cricket World Cup match in Ahmedabad

**In the name of cricket, where would we draw the line?**<br><br>We are astonished that a cricket match between India and Pakistan is on the table, to be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in October. Let's recall how Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif celebrated the Pulwama massacre that claimed the lives of our 40 CRPF jawans in 2019. They could not have been more unapologetic.<br><br>Fast forward to 2023, the mood in India remains largely the same. Cricket enthusiasts are fuming, expressing their discontent with the proposed match on social media. Why should we glorify Pakistan through sports, which 1. harbors terrorists and 2. has done nothing to prevent the Mumbai or Pulwama attacks from happening? Furthermore, isn't it irresponsible to risk the safety of thousands of Indian cricket fans who will attend the match?<br><br>And how can we possibly justify cheering for the Indian team side by side with Pakistanis, as if everything is forgotten and forgiven?
