Does LSD/DMT damage receptors over time?

Lately, I have been reading a lot about the concept of damage to receptors over time when using psychedelics frequently, such as LSD/DMT/DMAX. For some reason, this topic is largely left unaddressed in scientific communities but I have been reading mostly anecdotal evidence for it, even from some psychedelic researchers who are currently studying the subjects.

I have been experimenting with these substances for a while now and I have to admit that over time, I have been noticing a decrease in their potency. No matter how long I wait, even a full two weeks or three weeks for this to wear off, it still feels like it doesn't hit me as hard as it did in the beginning. This has also been the case for other psychedelics.

I know what you are probably thinking, placebo, habituation. I have ruled out habituation, because I have waited for long periods of time to test this, and the effects still aren't as strong. I also don't believe this to be placebo because for this to hit me, I need to take a larger dose than what I used to take in the beginning.

I'm not even talking about the tolerance that's built up, but the long term effects that stick. I know that psychedelics are not neurotoxic to the brain, but I believe they may be neurotoxic to the receptors in the brain.

I don't know what to trust anymore, I know psychedelics aren't neurotoxic to the brain, but I don't know if they are neurotoxic to the receptors. IDk wtf is happening to my brain, but I'm about to figure out.
