Why do people say they want to live in Japan but then talk about how much they hate the extreme heat and humidity in the summer?

I get that people like Japan and all, but it is generally known that Japan is an incredibly hot and humid place in the summer. How can people say they want to live in Japan but then also say they hate the heat?? It genuinely makes no sense to me.
