I want to be able to wake up my phone by clicking on the icon of an app

This is something I do a lot with websites that are on my home screen. The icon opens a webpage. I click on it and my phone comes to life. <br><br>But if I click on an app to wake it up, the app is opened. I feel that if I click on a picture, nothing should happen. <br><br>Is there an app for this? I am on Android
