Heads up: this is not an attack, nor a plea to join us. It's an explanation of your self destructive life choices, but also a message to a dying generation.<br><br>---<br>## The Futility of self<br><br>MGTOW is a rejection of modern society, of women in particular, and an embracing of individuality. <br><br>This is probable the single most damaging thing about MGTOW. The focus on individuality spurs men to reject every positive influence and relationship in their lives. By rejecting other people, you are left alone and isolated with only your own thoughts. Now imagine growing up in a patriarchal society, with traditional gender roles and a masculine ideal to live up to. You have lived your entire life with the knowledge that you are second class citizens, under the influence of a patriarchy built by your forefathers. Once you reject society, you are left with your own toxic masculinity to keep you company, and the only thing you know to do is double down on the ideals that damaged you in the first place. <br><br>Embracing individuality makes you more isolated and lonely, and because you are obviously better off alone, you will never admit how destructive and lonely that existence is. This is the line that, once crossed, there is no coming back from. The moment you decide that you don't need anyone else, that's the exact moment you should seek professional help. You need to learn that even though you are different, other people are necessary for you to thrive. You don't have to be like everyone else, but you need others to be happy.<br><br>## The Dangers of Celibacy<br><br>MGTOW teaches that you shouldn't pursue romantic relationships of any kind, as this is the path to your own personal freedom. <br><br>Romantic relationships are the only way to fulfill one of our most basic needs: sex. Humans are social creatures, and our sexual nature is a big part of that. When we reject the social aspect of life, we also refuse the relationship that is necessary for our own survival: sex. <br><br>This problem compounds itself, because lack of social relationships and lack of sex leads to depression. And when you reject society and relationships, you don't know how to improve your situation. So the obvious path is to double down on the one thing in your life that you have control over, which is your own existence and your own isolation. Sex is literally required for humans to thrive, and believing otherwise is ignorant of basic human psychology. <br><br>## The Damage of the Manosphere<br><br>The Manosphere is the natural progression of the social movements that grew out of MGTOW. MRA and TRA are the next steps in a toxic ideology designed to pit men and women against each other. The Manosphere is built from the ground up to reject women and relationships, and to instead focus on men and men's issues. This is another trap that men fall into, and another way to isolate yourselves, which you claim is your ultimate goal. By rejecting women and focusing on men, you are once again left alone with only your own thoughts to keep you company. <br><br>This is extremely damaging, as it leads you down a path of toxic masculinity. You are forced to double down on the same masculine ideals that MGTOW was reacting against in the first place. Now, instead of relationships and sex, the main focus of your life is your own manliness. But, as stated above, when you reject society and relationships, you are left with only your own thoughts to keep you company. So now, all you have is your own focus on your masculinity. This is enough, you've convinced yourself, until you realize the true cost of that focus.<br><br>## The Cost of Hyper Masculinity<br><br>The cost of hyper masculinity is the dehumanization of men, and the destruction of a generations worth of potential. When a man focuses on being traditionally masculine, he is rejecting every other aspect of himself. MGTOW convince themselves that there is no value in emotional intelligence, in relationships, in sex, in community, in parenthood, but most importantly, in vulnerability. MGTOW also convince themselves that there is no value in equality, that women are inferior and therefore unimportant. <br><br>This is the most obviously destructive part of MGTOW. The rejection of empathy in favor of hyper masculinity is the reason that MGTOW can't see the harm that they have caused. The only thing that matters in your lives is your own manliness, and so you will stop at nothing to prove your manhood to yourself. You think that by living a selfish life filled with pornography and video games, you are living up to your own potential. In reality, the only thing that matters is that you are bettering yourself for the benefit of society as a whole.<br><br>## The last remnants of a dying breed.<br><br>MGTOW are, in large part, baby boomers and Gen X. Gen Z and Millennials have already moved past this line of thinking, eager to create their own version of society based on equality. But, that's okay. By rejecting relationships and focusing on your own masculinity, you have insured that you will not be missed. You will have no one to care for you in your old age, no one to visit you on your deathbed, no one to remember you after you are gone. And that's okay. You have made your choice, now you need to live with it. You have no one to blame but yourselves for your loneliness.<br><br>This is what modern society looks like with out the influence of MGTOW. Women are empowered and men are equal. You rejected the society that your grandfathers built, and were left with nothing but your own thoughts and your own toxic masculinity. You don't see the point of relationships and sex, even though you are social creatures who need those relationships in order to thrive. You have rejected the world we live in, with all of its benefits and all of its drawbacks. And, at the end of the day, you are still lonely.<br><br>But, that's okay.
