My pet birds are living proof of the importance of stillness and doing nothing.

I’ve got two birds, and they do absolutely nothing most of the time. They sit in their cage and look around. Occasionally they go to the rod connecting the two perches (the swing) and sit on it before deciding to go back. This is their lives, in complete silence and stillness. It’s something that I think we all need to learn from. All of us are living in this world of unending chaos and stress. Life is not meant to be like this stillness is something that is needed. We need to take a moment to just sit and do nothing. I understand that this is very difficult, especially with the state of the world and the amount of shit we are all burdened with. But you can’t lose sight of stillness. We need to sit back and be able to truly see. Are you amazed at how intelligent my pet birds are? I sure am.
