My store is a self scanning store and I stole and didn't get caught!

Hello guys! I recently stole from my own store and I didn't get caught. I work at a grocery store and my store has these self scanners, but sometimes they don't work. I forgot to bring my mask on my last shift, so I bought one. It was too late to give the money to my coworkers, so I decided to scan it and just not pay for it. I went through the whole self scanner thing: grabbing the item, putting it on the conveyor belt, then hitting the pay button and then scanning the item. Except I didn't actually scan the item. I just put it in my bag like you do. It worked! I went through the whole self scanner thing and didn't pay for that mask and didn't get caught. If you have these self scanners at your grocery store, I recommend it.
