I told my child my husband was on the phone and he knew he wasn't, We were just out of town. Was this some sort of glitch?

No idea if this has been posted before but we were at a hotel recently. This was a quick trip for a spiritual ceremony I was going to. We were all laying in bed, ready to go to sleep when my son got up to get water from the vending machine. He was excited about the vending machine and kept saying "oh yay I finally get to go to the vending machine" He wanted to get water and it was all vending machines. <br><br>So I told him I wasn't comfortable with him walking down the hall alone and if he could go down the hall, he could go across the hall. He said "he was going across the hall" I said no you're going down the hall. He said "I was just right outside the door" I said ok. Then the phone rang and I said "I have to answer the phone, your father is calling". My son said "no he's not, he's right outside". <br><br>How did he know my husband was not on the phone when we were hundreds of miles away from home and the call was from my husband's phone number? <br><br><br>EDIT I guess I should add here that my son was talking about my husband being outside the hotel room door, not me talking about my husband being outside the hotel room door.
