What did the average American soldier on the front lines do every day during WW2?

I’m sure there wasn’t much downtime. When there wasn’t fighting, what was your average day like? <br>I’m curious about things like:<br><br>Food<br>Sleep<br>Training<br>Personal hygiene<br>Days off<br>Relaxing<br>Letters from home<br>When did they get news from other fronts? <br>Wearing uniforms, etc.<br><br>Dice games? Cards?<br><br>I think you get where I’m going - daily life and routine.
