Genuinely curious how this was a good idea

Okay, we went drinking tonight. When I was in the bathroom, my friend was chatting up a girl next to him. They hit it off for like 2 minutes and all seemed cool. <br><br>I come back and he’s chatting with her and her BF. I get the vibe they’re on a date and I’m like “oh no, you’re in trouble rn”. The guy isn’t mad or upset and the vibe isn’t aggressive, just awkward.<br><br>My friend tells the guy he’s really funny looking and asks if he can touch his hair cause it’s in an afro and he wants to pet it like a dog. I’m mortified but I’m not his dad and can’t stop him. The guy lets him pet his hair and My friend is giggling and actually treats him like a dog, barking at him, petting his hair, and scratching behind his ears. We laughed about it for a while and then left.<br><br>What was this girl thinking? Not only letting him do it, but being okay with it herself? <br><br>EDIT - A lot of people in here first thought is fight. Need to step outside of the cave and go outside once in a while.
