New to the concept of AGI. Anyone have a "starter pack" of the most important papers and books to read?

There is no way I'll be able to read through the entire backlog on this chamber, so I'm hoping to get a list of books/papers that are considered the most important "starter pack" to help me get up to speed on the concept of AGI. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
