What's /pol/ like if you have no stake in the politics?

I'm Asian, my country isn't involved much with the US or Middle East. I don't care about your squid group. I just lurk /pol/ for the entertainment. What I don't get is why do /pol/ partician about things that they can't control. So many posts about telling people to do stuff, without actually doing it. "Go tell the far left ________" "go call your congress ________". If you're so passionate about something, put your money where your mouth is.
