FTC launches probe into AI-powered hiring systems

The agency plans to issue 19 orders to providers of AI-powered hiring systems, as well as companies that use them to screen and evaluate job candidates. It will seek information on their hiring processes and whether they’re complying with civil rights and consumer protection laws.
