A little bit of a back story. I am married and have been since I was 19. My husband is 7 years older than me. I always thought he was cute, when we became friends I was 15. He was in his early 20's. He would always make me laugh, even though he was the quiet type. He had recently gone through a bad divorce.

A few years later has passed, he started to work out. He grew his hair out. He became a lot more social. I was crushing on him like crazy! He started to notice me and we started talking. He was almost too quiet still, but he seemed to be a shy guy. We were married just a year after. He is the love of my life. I have no complaints whatsoever, we have a lot of fun together. I am very lucky to have him. Sometimes I think my luck is too good to be true, as I'm sure many of you will see after reading this.

One day, my husband and I were in our apartment and I heard a very loud knock at the door. My husband asked if I could get it. I was like, "Who is that?" I looked through the peephole and I saw a smiling guy. He didn't look familiar. I had a bad gut feeling, but I didn't want to accuse anyone of anything. There have been many weird situations at my apartment complex, so I decided I should just open the door. I opened the door, and this man smiled. He seemed very happy. I started to feel a little better, maybe he wasn't dangerous. I started to have a bad feeling, I still did. I asked, "Can I help you?"

He smiled, and said, "What is your name?"

I said, "My name is (insert my name here, I'll call myself Sophia for protection)."

He stared at me for a moment, and his smile grew bigger. He said, "I have been looking everywhere for you."

By this point, I was so creeped out. I was starting to feel uncomfortable, and I didn't want to find out what he wanted. I told him, "I think you have the wrong girl." I was about to shut the door and he grabbed the door. He prevented me from shutting it.

He said, "Wait, I have to ask you something." He paused, and said, "Will you let me kiss you?"

I thought this was insane. I said, "You are the wrong person." I tried to shut the door again, and he has the door open. He was trying to force the door open, but I was blocking it with my weight. My husband started to get up from the couch. He was walking to the door, and I knew at this point I had to get this guy away from me, my husband, and my home.

I told him, "Okay, one kiss." He smiled. I stepped outside, and he closed the door. I thought about running, but I didn't know where I was going to run to. I decided this was the best course of action because I didn't want him to know where I lived. As he went to kiss me, I pretended to kiss him. I grabbed his nuts and squeezed them as hard as I could.

He doubled over in pain, screaming. I ran towards the stairs. I have no idea where I was going to go, but I knew I was going to go in one of these apartment doors. I knew I had to act fast, because I didn't know how long it was going to take him to recover.

I ran up a few flights of stairs until I found a door that was cracked open. I ran in and shut the door. I locked it, and then I heard a man's voice, "Can I help you?"

I turned my head. The guy that was standing in front of me was tall and skinny. He had red hair. His eyes were blue, and he had sharp cheek bones. He was looking at me, like who are you? I explained to him what has happened, and he said, "Well, I'm glad you came in. My name is Carl."

I was so glad he was nice. Sometimes, I dream about what would have happened if he wasn't nice to me.

That day, something happened that changed my perspective on life. I realized, sometimes you have to do risky things to keep yourself safe. I could have gotten myself killed, but I took my chances.

I smuggled my way into a guy's apartment, and he saved me.
