I got a gorgeous 1911 pistol that does everything I want, at the price I want.

The gun was listed as a 2.5 lbs trigger. I measured it at 4.5 lbs.

I really dont mind the difference in weight.

Should I contact the company and inform them about this?

Reasons for:

More accurate data to prospective buyers.

The company can't work on improving the gun if they don't know about it.

Reasons against:

Why waste their time? The difference in triggers from one gun to the other can be so small and so minute. This is the first 1911 I've owned. The other pistol I had was a Glock 43, and that trigger was 5.5lbs, so this is a 1lb reduction.

I am happy with the gun.

I am so disappointed in the inaccurate data I just want to contact the company to make a point, but not to make a complaint, as I am happy with the trigger as it is.

TLDR: should I contact the manufacturer to tell them their gun's trigger is 2lbs heavier than what they are advertising, even if I am happy with the gun as it is?
