Questioning life £20 a fortnight 19 yo 2 kids.

I'm 19, boyfriend 18, we have 2 children, I lost my job and is struggling so much, me and my boyfriend are actively looking for jobs, we want for nothing, but we need food so bad. I thought about shoplifting, I've never done it before so I was wondering how many times will they let you get away with it before you go to court ? I'm desperate, the only other answer is opening my legs ! We're honest.
