Does anybody know why grocery prices have skyrocketed?

I'm 20 years old and I've been noticing a significant increase in grocery prices lately. I'm not sure what specifically causes it as I don't really follow anything related to the grocery industry, I just know it's getting ridiculous and I'd love some info.
