AITA for checking my daughters’ bags after my husband packed them?

My (36F) husband (38M) and I are going on a brief vacation with our girls (twins, 5 yo). My husband packed their bags on his own this time and, to be frank, I don’t have the best faith in his packing skills, especially for the girls. So I decided to double-check the bags and that’s when I found he didn’t pack a single dress for our girls, didn’t match any of the socks (so one of each pair was missing and the remaining socks didn’t match each other), didn’t pack hair accessories for them, packed only two pairs of underwear for each girl (we’re going for five days), no hairbrush, and so on.

When I mentioned it to him he was upset and scolded me for not trusting him, saying I made him feel like a bad father. I told him he’s not but as the girls’ mother, it’s my job to make sure everything they need is packed. He continued to argue with me until I had to raise my voice and remind him this isn’t about him.

Now he’s angry and is playing the victim. Did I really do something wrong?
