I'm going to ask a question I shouldn't ask here and I'd like to try and sound out other opinions, but I will try to be as objective as I can. How did the CCP's governing style affect the people there?

I'd like to figure out how the CCP has helped the people of China and I'm trying to get a real answer here. (Not trying to do an echo chamber) I know a lot of what I've heard from the western media is a lot of craziness and other parts are simple propaganda. The reason I'm asking here is because I know a lot of people here have been to China or are from there and can give me a real look on how it is. I'm not trying to say one way or another that China is bad, but I'd like to hear your experiences.
