Why do men have to be the ones to approach?

It’s fucking ridiculous, most people are too scared to approach people theyre interested in, and it’s one of the biggest desires humans have, yet we (men) are almost forced to, as women traditionally don’t make the first move. If i see a woman i like, i will sometimes work up the courage to go talk to her, but it’s not like i even care whether or not i get rejected, I’d much rather have a rejection than to never find out how it would’ve went. I think it’s stupid when women say “Im shy” or “I like when they make the first move” because being shy is an individuals problem, and they should try to fix it as it holds you back in life.
