Hindus now have a higher population than Muslims in entire South Asia.<br><br>Before partition, Muslims and Hindus were almost equal, with Muslims having just 20% more population. But Pakistan separated.<br><br>After that, India was left with 85% Hindus, and Bangladesh was left with 15% Hindus.<br><br>Now, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka have a collective total population that is equal to Pakistan.<br><br>Pakistan does not exist as a separate category, because it has been the part of the Indian subcontinent since 1947.<br><br>In this way, the total population of South Asia is 207 crore. Now, the total number of Hindus in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Pakistan is 140 crore.<br><br>And the total number of Muslims in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan is now 110 crore.<br><br>In this way, South Asia has again become a Hindu majoritarian region with a total Hindu population of 140 crore.<br><br>Today, Hinduism is the second-largest religion in the world, but this was not the case. In 1500 AD, the Hindu population was 364 million, but due to the wars of Akbar, Jehangir, Shahjahan, Aurangzeb, and Tipu Sultan, the Hindu population was reduced to 150 million.<br><br>And the Muslim population rose to 150 million in 1872 due to the mass genocide of Hindus, and by 1947 the Muslim population had increased to 294 million. And the Hindu population was around 526 million.<br><br>But now after the partition, the Hindu population has risen to 140 crore. And the Muslim population is 110 crore.<br><br>India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Pakistan, Afghanistan - all these 7 countries are South Asia.
