Got caught, but only got a ban, no cops, no charges

I got caught shoplifting today. I’m EXTREMELY happy, and was extremely relieved and grateful. I shoplifted at a mall, and the best part about the mall is that they don’t involve the police. That is why I’m extremely happy, I didn’t get arrested.<br><br>I had stolen 3 items, and it was EXTREMELY obvious, I stole 2 pairs of glasses and a wallet. I was terrified after the first 10 minutes of being in the mall. I went into a store, and I had nobody around me, I basically got up to the item, and took it. I was not even hiding it. I did the same thing in the other 2 stores. I then walked out of the mall, and the first thing I heard was “sir, stop.” I was so scared, I literally had a mini panic attack. I was sweating, I had trouble breathing, I was terrified. They demanded to see my bag, and I did as they said. They found all the stuff, and they took my wallet, and they took the items, and they said they were taking my wallet to show my license as identification. They demanded to see my phone, and I showed them my phone, and they looked through my call history, and my text messages to make sure “I wasn’t planning to cause trouble”. They gave me back my wallet, and my phone, and they then said “you’re banned, and if you come back, we will call the cops, and you will be charged with trespassing and theft and fraud” I was terrified, but extremely relieved. They then said “I’m not calling the cops, because you didn’t steal that much, but if you come back, we will call them” so I said okay, and I said thanks, and I left. I was so scared the first 2 hours, but now I’m just relieved.
