Is it morally justifiable to disallow comments on social media in order to prevent echo-chambers?

Individuals on social media create content, both informative and disinformative. Echo chambers are an issue which reinforce false beliefs and polarize communities. Should social media owners be allowed to disallow comments in order to prevent echo chambers?
