The 10/10 Chad that I had a crush on for 6 years just melted my heart

I have this cousin that I've had a huge crush on for the past 6 years. Everyone calls him a Chad. I am a devoted Christian, he is not. He teaches me things about God but in a way that includes a lot of sarcasm. He's really popular, charming, good-looking, and intelligent. <br><br>After church last Sunday, we spent some quality time together. We talked about porn addiction and he told me that he has struggled with it a lot.<br><br>Then he showed me a video called "The Usage of Pornography" from YouTube that he showed to some of his friends that also struggled with it. Things like how the dopamine in porn addiction destroys the brain, how it lowers your testosterone and makes you look and feel terrible, how it makes people depressed, how it turns people into narcissists and makes them incapable to love, how it makes relationships impossible, how it ruins marriages...<br><br>I asked him "But why do people watch porn?". He said "That's a good question, nobody knows the answer to that". <br><br>He told me that he has been churching and praying to stop watching porn, but that he fell into temptation many times. He compared it to how Satan tempted Jesus. He said that he feels terrible saying "I'm gonna stop watching porn forever" and then falling into temptation again. But that he was not going to give up. He was not going to let porn win. He was not going to let porn destroy his mind, body, and soul. He said that he was gonna ask Jesus to put an end to his struggle with pornography because he was tired of losing and wasting his time. He said that he was gonna keep asking Jesus to set him free from it until he finally sets him free. <br><br>He said "I don't want you to ever watch porn. It's not good for you. You don't know how I suffered with porn addiction. Don't make the same mistake that I did. You deserve so much better than that"<br><br>And with that, he hugged me and I felt a happiness that I have never felt before. The way he spoke, with a gentle smile and sparkling eyes, melted my heart. I feel so happy knowing that he's okay now and that he will be okay forever. I feel so happy knowing that he's becoming a better person. I feel so happy knowing that he's gonna be a great husband to his future wife.<br><br>I feel so happy to have him in my life. I don't care if we are ever together romantically, I just want him to be happy. He is the only person in this world that I really care about.<br><br>I feel so happy knowing that he's gonna be a devoted Christian. And I feel so happy knowing that he's gonna stop watching porn forever.<br><br>I wish him all the best in life. I wish him countless years of happiness.
