I did. I booked a flight to Cairns Australia. I planned to stay for a week in a hotel, then a week in a hostel before finding a place to live. I arrived, did the hotel, did the hostel, and found a place to live on day 10.

Over the next 180 days, I proceeded to explore the region. I went to the beach, walked on the Cairns esplanade, went to a few malls, and had some pretty damn good Chinese food at a restaurant called “Gala”.

One weekend I took a drive to Port Douglas. Along the way I saw some of the most fucking beautiful beaches I have ever seen in my life. Crystal clear waters, white sand, palm trees, perfect weather… it felt like I was in a dream.

I proceeded to explore the region for the next five months. Along the way I had some amazing experiences and adventures. Saw some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia, got drunk at a pub with a bunch of strangers, took a road trip to Darwin, and saw some of the most beautiful natural landscapes I’ve ever seen in my life. Some of the places I saw were absolutely beautiful. I got to see some of the most beautiful natural landscapes I’ve ever seen in my life.

It was a great experience, I recommend it to anyone else to travel to a place and stay longer than expected.
