After years of using the google play store, I'm starting to question the value of the store after google is ending over $25 in play credits over nickel and dime. First, I had a credit card purchase that was charged a late fee resulting in a very minor overdraft. In response, they cancelled the purchase and reversed the transaction. The cashback that I earned that month was clawed back and pay outs for this month and next month have been suspended.

Next, I tried purchasing adcocoins with my credit card (a store credit card with cash back) a couple of days ago. Google cancelled the transaction and placed a warning on my account. Apparently, in the future, this will result in a 30 day suspension. I reported the store to google and they responded in kind. "We only care about native payments with credit cards."

At this point, I'm a prime target for apple due to my high income. I just got an iPhone 13 for free and they are offering me a great deal on a laptop and other overpriced hardware in exchange for trading in my Pixel 6, a phone that frequently has a buzzing noise that pops up at random. I switched to android in 2012 for the sd card slot and because I thought that the store was more open to developers.

At this point, it's time to reevaluate. With the increasing cost of adcocoins and the hassle of purchasing store credit, is it time to switch to overpriced apple products? I'm looking for your opinion in the comments. Should I switch?
