My friend was trying to get out of a ticket, and when the cop saw that it was me her expression immediately changed. Why?

My friend goes to the local police station and tries to get out of a ticket that her and her husband got. She says "You know, I think we were speeding before." The cop asks her why she thinks that. She told him "My friend lives near there and I ran into her and her family, the other day, and I said 'you know, I don't think that speed limit sign is legal' and my friend said its 'not legal' because it was hiding behind a tree. My friend said she even took a picture of it."<br><br>The cop asked her who her friend was and she said "Dora." The cop immediately started being nice and then my friend said "She told me to tell you its not legal." The cop told me her exactly what my friend said. Apparently the cop smiled and said "I know exactly who Dora is, and she's right." She ended up getting out of the ticket. <br><br>What the heck is going on in my town? Why did the cop know me? All I said was that the speed limit sign wasn't legal because a tree was hiding it and I took a picture.<br><br>My friend told me all this and her and I are both dying of laughter.
