My wife is going to abuse and kill my dog if I don't take him away from her

I need to vent, I have proof I just need someone to hear me and know I'm doing the right thing. I was in a relationship with a girl and everything was great. She didn't like dogs but she liked mine. I broke it off with her because she abuse my dog for no reason. She has abused him physically and is abuse him mentally. She is doing things like putting pictures of him on fire with threats in the caption, she has tried to drown him, she has put him in a box, she has put him in a dryer, she has left him on the side of the road in an area he has never seen, she has dressed him in things that are harmful, she has put cigarettes out on his body, and a lot more. She has repeatedly threatened to abuse and kill my dog. She has gotten to the point where she kidnapped him and is threatening to kill him for ransom. I have the police involved but they aren't doing anything so I am going to an ex cop for help. I have been trying to get him away from her for 2 months now but I haven't been able to. I can't get him away on my own because my house I'm living in at the moment is in an area that is dangerous and I don't think it would be good for him. I know my dad would take us in and help us get away from her but the issue is he doesn't like my dog he never has. I think he is capable of hurting him because of that reason. I can't take him to a shelter because they are full and he would sit there until he gets adopted. I'm very worried about his mental state. I am in a state of crisis right now and I don't know what to do. I don't have money to get him out of the state. I'm just really overwhelmed and I don't know what to do because I can't help my dog and it makes me feel so bad. I want my dog back and I hope she doesn't kill him because of how much I love him.
