I (28F) donated my eggs when I was 21. I’m now considering a DNA test. How would I handle the results of potentially finding a child that came from my donation?

I donated my eggs 7 years ago, and it resulted in 5 embryos being created. They went into two women, one had a child and the other had twins. I was told the process was anonymous, but I can’t help but wonder what came out of my donation.

I’m now 28F and I am thinking about taking one of those DNA tests, but I really have no clue where to start. I can’t even imagine the emotional rollercoaster I may go down, considering the child that may have come from my donation may not even know they aren’t a natural child (and they may not want to know me either for that matter…). I also don’t know how my partner will handle the situation, considering we are looking to start our own family now too.

I am interested in hearing your thoughts on the matter.
