A better ending to the movie armageddon

Let’s pretend that instead of having to blow up the asteroid, the drillers find out that the asteroid is hollow and they are able to make a stable worm hole through it and make sure that it doesn’t collapse. <br><br>This would be an amazing way to end the movie: Harry Stamper sacrifice himself to drill into the asteroid, meanwhile the other drillers in the NASA orbiting spaceship drill into the other side. The two groups meet in the middle and find that the asteroid is hollow.<br><br>They find a way to generate a stable wormhole and they make it large enough for a probe to travel through. They realize that the wormhole leads to the nearest star system, alpha centauri. They realize that the wormhole will last forever because the asteroid is massive enough that the gravity of the wormhole pulls the asteroid towards alpha centauri at the same speed that the asteroid is approaching Earth.<br><br>They realize that the wormhole can be used as a way to travel to alpha centauri without any cruisers or travel time. They think that any space craft could fly through the wormhole and because of the gravitational pull of the wormhole, any space craft could travel through it all the way to alpha centauri without expiring any fuel. They then find that the mass of the asteroid is so heavy that it could hold open the wormhole forever.<br><br>However there is one danger of the wormhole. Although the mass of the asteroid is enough to hold it open forever, the wormhole would have a serious effect on whatever travels through it. Since wormholes would be travelling faster than light and anything that moves faster than light become massless according to Albert Einstein, this means that anyone that travels through the wormhole would not have any mass. This means that any matter that reaches alpha centauri would be essentially nothing more than a cloud of gas. <br><br>This information is passed to mission control and after some time, a bunch of people volunteer to travel through the wormhole. They accept the risks that they would lose their bodies, and when they approve the mission, a bunch of space shuttles fly through the wormhole.<br><br>The movie ends with Harry’s son and the woman he loves being married in a beautiful wedding. And as they are married, they both look at the ground and then back at each other with a confused look. Harry is then shown to smile and say, “Well, I guess I couldn’t make it to the wedding after all.” And as all camera viewers are confused, they notice his wife is standing next to him. Harry then shows smile and says, “I just couldn’t let my boy get married without his mother there.” Harry then hits his name tag and says, “Harry Stamper, Space shuttle 36.”
