This is my wife's first time traveling to the US, and she is appalled at the lack of public restrooms

My wife is from a small town in Germany, and they are currently on a cross country road trip in the US. While things like the Grand Canyon blew her away, she's seriously disgusted at the lack of public restrooms and how dirty they are. <br><br>"What kind of shit hole country is this" she keeps on saying.<br><br>Edit: Well this blew up. I think there's some confusion as to what she means by public restrooms - in every German town you essentially have free public restrooms. There will be one building sort of like a single car garage in the middle of the town that's a public restroom. Every one we've seen was very clean. <br><br>And there's rest stops every 5 or so miles on the autobahn, all with restrooms.<br><br>I've lived in the US my whole life and not noticed this, but I remember when we were in Germany last year the public restrooms being much cleaner and more prevalent.
