My son was so proud of us

Hi I write a lot here for my own sanity but my husband and I have a son who is on the spectrum and requires a lot of attention. We were celebrating his birthday this past weekend at a restaurant. We were sitting outside drinking our wine. Our son likes to sit in the car at times when he gets over stimulated. I looked over and saw a couple holding hands walking down the street. I looked over at my husband and smiled and then he smiled at me. My son saw this and bounced back to the table. He said Mom was looking at Dad and Dad was looking at Mom. And they were both smiling. He was so happy. We have always been open with him but in recent years he is actually understanding what it means to love your family so much. Feel free to PM me I write a lot about our story.
