Vendored Over 100 Bundles in 1 Mo. Initial Thoughts

I know a lot of people here consider it a turn off to be a “_bundle bro”_ , but imo it’s the best way to start and can get you high quality parts for 30-50% off compared to buying loose parts.

My experience started when I bought a $1000 bundle that included a fully built upper with strike industries rails and handstop, night sights, and a WML, along with a lower parts kit, BCG, and buffer tube. I ended up using 75% of it to build an SBR for my GF and only spent $400 to bring the pistol build to completion.

This sparked me to look up bundles on a daily basis to see what else I can find. I currently have 3 AR builds in the works and have sold about 8 bundles.

My first thoughts are that you can get after market parts for a fraction of the cost if you’re willing to spend a few minutes disassembling the bundle and can get good quality parts that are brand new.

I just set up an LLC and will be focusing on reselling the bundles I buy as I’m able to get a better price after tax and I can depreciate the expenses.

My biggest concern is that as I buy more bundles, I risk raising the prices on myself as im the one buying them all. In the past few days I can already see this happening. For example, a seller had a bundle of 10 lowers with BCGs and they were going for $1000 for all 10. I saw them yesterday for $1200, then again today for $1300, so it appears that the prices are being pushed up.

I will continue to update this as I continue to flip these bundles and ill post the first real profit I make. I currently have about $5000 worth of inventory that I will be selling at cost and can be seen on my eBay for sale - John D. aaron. I know it doesn’t sound like a lot, but this is 100 bundles and I would prefer to start off slow.

I am open to comments and would like to hear your thoughts so far!

UPDATE

I have now vendored over 300 bundles and 30 guns. I have had to take a step back from reselling as the prices are getting close to the cost of buying each complete part. In the meantime, I have built and sold 25 ARs and 10 pistols. I bring in 25-30 guns a week and have had to take a step back from the bundles.

The bundles have gotten scarce and the prices have skyrocketed. A bundle with an Anderson lower, PSA BCG, and Magpul stock sells for $250ish vs buying a lower for $100, stock for $45 and a BCG for $109. So you save $4 a bundle and imo just causes you to spend more time taking them apart to take the desired parts.
