The world is about to get a whole lot poorer

In December, 2021 the world was on pace for 4.2% growth in 2022 (From the World Bank)<br><br>Then Russia decided to invade Ukraine. <br><br>Now, the world is on pace for 3.2% growth, down 1% from earlier predictions (From the World Bank, January 2022) <br><br>That is a reduction of $765 billion dollars to the global economy from the previous forecast. <br><br>That's a lot of money, and never forget that the war will be very destructive towards Ukraine (who will suffer the most) and Russia (who will have a major recession coming on from sanctions)<br><br>The war in Ukraine won't just cost Ukraine and Russia...but the whole world.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Edit: <br><br>I should make it clear that I am not predicting a recession here. Just a reduction in growth. That is what this number represents.
