“I will be there in the morning and the dead will smile.”

It’s been a while since I’ve posted but if you all want to hear this story I will share it. My friend David had a short but terrifying experience he asked me to post for him because he thought it would be good for this page and he’s not on Reddit. <br><br>David went camping by himself in the mountains, he arrived late at night and had to set up his tent right on the side of the road. He says the road is tight and there’s a lot of traffic moving at high speeds, so it made it very difficult for him to set up his tent. <br><br>As he is setting up his tent this guy approaches him, David didn’t notice the guy behind him until he heard him speak. <br><br><br>Guy - “What are you doing?”<br><br>David - “I’m camping, it’s already 11 and I’m tired.”<br><br>Guy - “There is something up the road maybe 5 miles, hotels are expensive but you can stay there for the night.”<br><br><br>Now to break this down the road he was on was a dead end road. In other words the road ended at a dead end, there were no other roads connected. It was just a road that led to no where. <br><br>David - “What’s up there?”<br><br>Guy - “An Inn.”<br><br>David - “There is nothing up there, it’s a dead end road.”<br><br>Guy - “Well there is nothing behind you either, I can help you get your tent set up if you would like.”<br><br>David - “No thanks, I don’t want to keep you up, you can go to bed.”<br><br><br>Now things start to get weird. As David is speaking he realizes the guy is right next to him even though he started talking to him from behind. He didn’t hear the guy move, but he was now right next to him. <br><br><br>Guy - “I don’t need sleep, besides I have been dead for thousands of years.”<br><br><br>David - “What the hell is that supposed to mean?”<br><br><br>Guy - “I will be there in the morning and the dead will smile.”<br><br><br>David went silent because he was terrified. He didn’t say anything else to the guy, he just looked at him and kept staring into his eyes. He noticed for the first time that the guy didn’t have any pupils. <br><br><br>David got into his car and booked it, he drove down the road at roughly 90mph not looking into his rear view mirror. When he finally felt comfortable to check his rear view mirror he noticed the road behind him was empty. <br><br>David drove until he found an inn and stayed there for the rest of the night. The next morning he left and never went camping in those mountains again.
