Gemtec 300 BO is too loud

I was shooting my 300 BO pistol that has a Gemtec 5.5" can on it. I was shooting 147 grain going around 1050fps. <br><br>I'm not sure if this is a common thing, but it is too loud to shoot with ear pro only. I need to wear muffs with ear pro to be able to shoot it. <br><br>I was wondering if it was normal for a short 5.5" can to be loud like that, or if I need to save up for a longer can. <br><br>Thanks
