Does anyone know how to get to where the bugs are laying eggs, or are they even laying eggs right now?

I did not see the bugs out much last year, but with this crazy warm weather, they are back doing everything with reckless abandon. I have hardwood floors and they seem to be coming from the areas where there are gaps where the walls meet the floor. Traps are not working. Has anyone figured out where they are laying eggs or how to get to it? I have to do it now before all the damn bugs hatch this year.
