Why do I keep running into the phrase “evolved witches” and why is it getting so popular now?

I’ve never liked this term, it’s always sounded like it’s meant to belittle and shame other witches. I can’t stand this “evolved witch” trend. It’s exhausting. I think he phrase is really pretentious and carried itself with a heavy air of snobbery.
