First of all I want to thank every one of you who commented on my last post. The amount of support and love I received was immense and it actually made me feel a little better in these hard times.

I'm not gonna waste any more of your time and I'll get straight to the point. Yesterday I sat down with my wife "Sarah" and had the talk. I told her everything and explained how I feel. At first she was shocked and didn't know what to say but later on got very angry. She said that I need to care for Lea like she's a part of the family and she is allowing it. I told her that I'm not gonna do that. Then out of anger I told her that I'm gonna divorce her if she doesn't let me do this. She stopped talking and broke down crying. She said that she feels betrayed and hurt and that she never expected me to do something like this. I told her that she knows how important Lea is for me and that I'm not gonna leave her behind like that She said that she has an understanding but only up to a certain point. I told her that Lea doesn't have much time left so I have to be there for her. We talked for hours. Eventually we managed to calm down a little bit and talked a little more calmly. Eventually she accepted the situation. I told her that we're gonna need some time apart cause I need to be with Lea and keep her comfortable in her last days. Sarah agreed and said she's gonna be with her family. I said that there's one more thing that I need to tell her and that's the fact that Lea doesn't want our 2 boys to know that she's dying. Sarah agreed and said that she's gonna tell them that Lea is abroad and needs some help and that's why I'm not gonna be home for some time. I told her that I'm gonna come and visit them often so they don't think that I've abandoned them.

Today I went to Lea and told her everything. At first she didn't believe me but after assurances she believed me. Right now as I'm writing this I'm lying in the same bed as her holding her hand. She's watching tv and I don't see any signs of discomfort or pain. She's actually watching one of her favorite shows and laughing. I'm just here holding her hand and watching her smile. I feel like I've been given a second chance to be with her in her last moments and I'm never gonna let her out of my sight.

Y’all helped me so much. I can't thank you enough.

EDIT: I see that a lot of people are confused by "ex-wife". She's not technically my ex-wife but that's what I meant. She's my ex cause we're not together anymore. I'm married now. I guess it was a little confusing
